Questions about how the unit connects to an existing distribution panel, and about communication.
Does installation require major construction work?
The unit mounts on a DIN rail inside the existing distribution panel. If the panel has no spare space, or installation is difficult because of its structure, we install a separate measurement enclosure and connect it to the existing panel. Either way, the work proceeds without replacing equipment or carrying out large-scale construction, and the distribution panel you operate today keeps its current structure.
How does the unit communicate?
The standard is wired LAN (Ethernet). It connects to the network on site and sends data over it, so there is no wireless link and little concern about radio interference or dropped connections. If site conditions call for wireless, we offer optional communication modules such as LTE-M and Wi-Fi, and in that case we use commercial communication modules certified in the country of supply.
What if there is no wired LAN near the distribution panel?
If the site has Wi-Fi, we offer an optional compact router that converts Wi-Fi to LAN. A site with no network at all can be connected with the LTE communication option (at additional cost), and several AI-ELEX units can share a single router, so the cost per unit falls as the number of units grows.
Our distribution panel is tight on space. Will it fit?
We designed the unit to be compact so it fits even in a crowded distribution panel. Spare space differs from site to site, however, so if you send us photos of the panel interior, we will confirm in advance whether installation is possible.
Can we keep using the meters or systems we already have?
AI-ELEX is installed in addition to your existing equipment rather than replacing it, so both can run together. If integration is required, we check the site conditions first and then advise you.

Deployment and operation
Questions about deployment scope and day-to-day operation.
Can we start with only part of our equipment?
Yes. You can start with the distribution panels or equipment that matter most, then add measurement points later as needed. Small factories often start with one to three Core units.
Can we manage several buildings together?
Yes. You can view data from several buildings on one monitoring screen and compare energy use between them. This is especially useful for facility management companies and others responsible for multiple sites.
Can we use it without an electrical engineer on staff?
When an anomaly is detected, we tell you which device had what kind of problem and when. The notification alone is enough to judge where to look first, and alarm history can be searched later by period.
Where is the data stored?
Collected data is stored on a cloud server, and you can search it by period and download it as a report. We explain the retention period and the account management policy when the contract is signed.
How much can we expect to save?
It depends on the site environment and operating conditions. At a manufacturing plant in Korea, we confirmed savings of about KRW 2.2 million per month and about KRW 26.4 million per year on electricity bills, with a payback period of about 1.5 years. Before deployment we review the expected effect with you, based on data from your site.
Support
Support and warranty
Questions about support after installation and about the product warranty.
How do we get support after installation?
We provide support by phone or remotely on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00. If an issue cannot be resolved remotely, we respond with a site visit or by collecting the unit for repair.
How long is the product warranty?
Two years from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, faults that occur under normal operating conditions are repaired free of charge under the terms stated in the warranty certificate.
Can we deploy AI-ELEX outside Korea?
We are preparing to supply overseas markets. We advise on a configuration matched to the local environment, including power specifications and local tariff structures, and our team will answer any details if you contact us.
What should we prepare before a consultation?
If you can prepare your site type (factory, building and so on), your deployment goal, the scope you want to monitor (main, floors, zones, number of items of equipment) and photos of the distribution panel, we can review your case faster.
