Installation
Deployment
AI-ELEX mounts on a DIN rail inside the existing distribution panel, or connects through a separate measurement enclosure. No equipment replacement or large-scale construction is needed. You can start at the points you need and expand step by step.
How to install
Three things that keep installation simple
Compact enough for a tight distribution panel
We designed it small so it fits in the space inside an existing distribution panel. It can be used even at sites where space is short.
A retrofit that connects to your existing panel
It mounts inside the panel on a DIN rail, or, where there is no spare space, connects through a separate measurement enclosure. No power equipment is replaced and no structure is changed.
Start with what you need, expand step by step
You do not need to build out every circuit from the start. Install at the highest-priority points first, then add measurement points.
System Diagram
System diagram
AI-ELEX, installed in the distribution panel, measures power through sensors and sends the data over wired LAN. Managers check it on a PC or a smartphone.
※ For sites with no wired LAN near the distribution panel, we offer an optional compact router that connects Wi-Fi to LAN. Sites with no network at all can connect through an optional LTE module (at additional cost), and several units can share a single router. Wireless communication uses commercial modules certified in the country of supply.
Process
Deployment process
From the site survey to day-to-day operation, we work through five steps.
- STEP 01
Site survey
We check the panel layout, what is to be measured and the operating goal.
- STEP 02
Set measurement points
We decide where Core and Hub go and how many are needed.
- STEP 03
Install and map
We install the devices and register panel, equipment and zone information.
- STEP 04
Pattern learning
We analyze normal use patterns and the periods with peak risk.
- STEP 05
Ongoing optimization
We improve operations through alerts, guidance and reports.
Examples
Setup examples by site
| Site type | Setup | Key focus |
|---|---|---|
| Small factory | Core, 1 to 3 units | Main power, anomaly detection on key equipment |
| Factory built around key equipment | Core per item of equipment | Use compared by equipment, failure prediction |
| Small to mid-size building | Core at the main panel + Hub at key panels | Common-area waste, peak management |
| Large building | Core at the main panel + Hub per floor + Hub per zone | Billing by floor and zone, equipment management |
| Facility management company | Integrated monitoring across several buildings | Comparison between buildings, call-out priority |
Before we talk
Having this ready before we talk
makes the review faster
If you can tell us the following, we can advise more accurately on the setup that fits your site and the expected cost. Rough figures are fine.
Site type
Factory, building, retail facility, school, hospital and so on
Main goal
Lower electricity bills, equipment anomaly detection, electrical safety, automated reports
Monitoring scope
Main only, common areas only, by floor, by zone, number of items of equipment

How could it be installed
at your site?
Send us a photo of the distribution panel and your management scope, and we will review first whether installation is possible.
